MY FRIEND DIANE

April 18, 2014

Melissa, thank you so much for remembering me.  I loved your mom.  I met her when you were just 3 months old.  We worked together at Jacqueline Cochran for many many years. We became really close friends, not just work friends.  We shared so many fun times together.  She was the one friend I had that I could laugh with for hours.  She was a true friend.  We used to go places together and with your dad too.  We were there for each other in good times and in bad times.  Melissa, you were her whole world, as my son is my whole world.  She was so proud of you and all your accomplishments.  She loved your husband and OMG when your daughter was born she had everything she needed in life.  She loved that little girl so much.  I can't picture her as not being on this earth anymore.  I think of her as living far away from me.  That's how I accept her death.  I do have pictures, when I find them I will post them.  Diane (Coubie), I hope your in a good place, listening to Neil Diamond and having a good laugh.

Fall / Thanksgiving

November 3, 2013

I remember how we used to go pick apples when I was little. I remember when we were both older, we continued that tradition with my litle girl. I remember wine tasting with you at the vineyard this time of year and decorating the house for Fall. I miss you so much. I go through my day imaging what you would say and do if you were here by my side and so many times I feel as if you are. Remember on Thansgiving how we would always wash the turkey together. Well this year Ashley and I will do it and think of you. I miss you so much. I love you. I hope you are happy and at peace. Hugs and Kisses forever! I know you are watching over me and I love you so much.

I was just watching that video of when I took you to Disney for the day on a first class trip to FL from NY and we had a limo drive you straight to Disney. It was so fun to surprise you like that in the middle of poor Nana being so sick. I watched as we went on space mountain together with me as an adult after taking me on the same ride as a child at 7. You told me it was a space museum and I believed you all the way up to the end when I saw the ride. I wanted to bolt for the door but you wouldn't let me, we rode it together and I loved it. Thank you for for helping to make me face my fear and teaching me to leave fun. I love roller coasters to this day and still think of you when I take my little girl on space mountain every time! Miss you -Your Loving Daughter, Melissa
