In the short time I spent with Don and his grandkids it was really clear to me how kind, patient, and caring his spirit was. It was a joy to witness and i feel blessed for it.

Paul: I doubt that Don has made it into heaven just yet. I am sure that others are being waved thru the gates as St. Peter sits and chats with Don. He enriched my life. Kathie: Was in Nancy & Don's wedding. But, lately, the best times were the "Happy Hours" on Nancy & Don's patio: the sunsets, the wine, his stories.."To make a long story short..." & "Did I tell you about the time..."

Don And Nancy were the first friends we made in 1994. We were young and newly married. We shared wonderful years raising our families, sharing those wonderful thanksgiving dinners and pontoon rides. Don was a wonderful man and I appreciated his sense of humor and all the memories and good times we shared. I'm so thankful we had a vist this summer. You will be missed dear friend.

I have known Don over 45 years and have many fond memories. Don always had a great story to tell. After losing contact for many years we were reacquainted in Oro Valley, Arizona.  A new connection was made with an old friend-- what a coincidence! Since that time my wife Kay and I shared many enjoyable times with Nancy & Don.

I will never lose my childhood memories of time spent with Don and the Crouse family. Spending every thanksgiving with the Crouse family growing up was a special event each and every year. Time spent with the Crouse family taught me that friends are the most important part of life. I learned to treasure the tears, treasure the laughter, but most importantly, treasure the memories.

It is not often that one meets truly kind & thoughtful people, & less often, are you fortunate enough to become friends. We met Nancy & Don less than two years ago. Don was warm and funny & accepted us even tho Jim is a Yankees fan. My only regret is that we had such a short time to enjoy Don's friendship, but we are grateful for that. Donnie, we hardly knew ye. We love and miss you.

Don and I had some great times . Knowing him for almost two years, we were always talking about baseball. Me being a Yankee fan, and Don a Boston fan, we both had wonderful times. A lot of love was shown with many laughs. We both had Connecticut in us which always brought togetherness. I'm grateful that I had Don's friendship even though it was for a short time. I miss him very
much.

Don and Nancy were the first friends we made when we moved to Brighton. My husband was one of the foursome who played golf with Don and Marty and at times my son Jeff. They had a lot of fun together. Don was a special man, careing, funny and a joy to be with. I am so happy that I saw him when they were here this summer. My family and I are very sadden by his passing.

Don was a special man because he had an optimism and welcoming spirit like few people do. As a father-in-law, Don showed me nothing but kindness and love. He was terrific with his granddaughters Prema and Ciela. I mean, really terrific. More than any other grandfather they knew, "Pappa" was the fun, silly, warm, patient, loving grandfather that the girls needed in their lives.

Don's passing came as such a shock to us. We were neighbors in Sun City and truly enjoyed both Don and Nancy. There was never an unkind word from Don. He was always smiling and obviously enjoyed his life. Since we moved away, we missed them both and miss Don even more since we will not see him again. God bless him.

I have known Don since I was 8 years old, when I would go to their house to play with my best friend Heather (Satya).  He always had a ready smile on his face and really made we feel welcome. Needless to say, it didn't take long before he became like a second Dad to me. I have not seen him since he moved from Michigan.  A big regret of mine. I will miss him!

I am so blessed to have known Don through my best friend, Satya Heather. He was always a joy to talk to and be around. I will always remember our talks about sports and his days as a hockey player. Much love to his family. xoxo

People are a part of your root tree for many reasons. Uncle Don made me feel safe when I was young and afraid. He shared stories of laughter about my dad whom I could not talk to. He danced with me and shared the taste of my first escargot. I see his smile around me now. ~ Pray for me, as I will for thee, that we may merrily meet in heaven~ St. Thomas Moore.

My Dad was a sweet, sensitive and gentle man! He loved life and had many amazing stories! what would I give now to hear them all again?! And they were great stories, he really lived quite a life! The day before he died, he told me he had a great life, a great marriage and he enjoyed so much life with my Mother. He only regretted not buying the RV sooner:) Love and appreciate you 4ever Dad
