|Let the memory of Donald be with us forever|
"Happy Ascension Day, Dad!
Ever since you departed for finer shores, I feel that I've been embodying what I learned from you.
Over the last 6 years some of your friends have joined you, and I'm sure you've been a fantastic welcoming committee of one!
There is no death, only the body passes.
So I know that all of your friendships are continuing, which must be bringing you great joy.
With love and endless gratitude,
"Dad, wishing you a Happy Birthday. You now have Leia to keep you company. Thank you for entrusting us with her care. She was a wonderful sweet dog. You are still a big part of my life. You inspire me to be a better person but then you always did bring out the best in others. You had such a positive outlook on life. I love you."
"I still miss you Daddy. You have always been the inspiration in my life. Your laughter, smile, big hugs... I still love the smell of sawdust. It always reminds me of you... Love and Blessings to a truly wonderful man."
Today is your birthday, and I can hardly believe that nearly 5 years have gone by since your passing!
Yet, you are still very much in my heart, my thoughts, and my life.
Regularly your example inspires the direction I choose.
You were so successful in being positive, friendly, helpful, and in bringing out the best in others, so that they felt high self-esteem.
You tried to include everyone in the boundless circle of your love!
With Deepest Gratitude and Joy,
"Daddy, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Daddy, Happy Birthday to you... You are loved and missed so much. Wishing you were here with us. Love Debbie"
"As the holidays grow near I am thinking about you a lot. I love you and miss your smile. It is not the same without you here. I wish you could come back and talk to me and share a walk."
"About 25 years ago I had to stop working because of a repetitive stress injury. In fact I had to change professions. For one year I did not work. During that time, I went regularly to work out at the Richmond Plunge. Don also went. Every time I saw him he cheered me up....just watching him jump up and down with a huge smile on his face brought my spirits up. He always made me laugh. And he was ALWAYS smiling and laughing as he exercised. It made my day!!"
I am forever grateful for your generous help in creating Yoga for Life studio in 2001, which is continuing today as Anjali Yoga for Women!
For me it's a symbol of your love for people everywhere, beyond the circle of our family, and your great leadership.
I know that you always felt that the world was your home, and you were the eldest brother, looking out for all of us!
My Love Always,
"On your birthday, I want you to know that I love you very much. I always will. Thank you for all that you taught me. To love nature, to love life and to live it. You are truly missed."
"Don was a cheerful and energetic person very caring toward family and strangers. He loved plants, dogs, and outdoor activities by the ocean, Miller Knox park, Yosemite, etc. His memory will live with everybody who met him."
"Dad was one of the most spiritual beings I have ever known personally. His love and friendliness radiated to all people and creatures. He was a role model, an inspiration, who made others feel good about themselves and who really knew how to listen. Very few people in this world know how to listen well and acknowledge feelings. But he did. And still does--his spirit lives on!"
"I remember Don´s smile, laughter, outgoing energy and love for life. He was always welcoming me to his house and engaging me in conversations. Don loved nature and I remember going to Miller Knox park and sharing beautiful walks and sunsets with Lori and I."
