Our Dearly Beloved Mrs. Doris Toney was born on February 16, 1945 to the very proud parents, the late W.C. And Hazel Edwards in Tallapoosa county. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Nita Jean Parker.

She accepted Christ at a young age at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Boone.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. James Toney for forty-seven years.

She is survived by: a loving and devoted husband, James Toney; one son, Clifford Toney, Sr. (Angie) of Birmingham, AL; two daughters, Beverly Toney and Annie Lisa Toney, both of Alexander City, AL; Six Sisters, Johnnie Edwards of Alexander City, Al, Lillie Holley of Alexander City, AL, Hilda Robinson (Willie) of Alexander City, AL, Shirley Edwards of Bradenton, FL, Mary E. Harris of Anniston, AL, and Mary Norris of Alexander City, AL; one brother, Cranford Edwards (Kim); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends , and her many brothers and sisters in Christ.
