I met David as he was dating my best friend from high school, Diana.  Through the years, it was easy to see how loving he was to Diana and each of the children. He was always a kind, loving soul who would do anything he could for anyone in need. He was a family man, devoted to providing for his family.

I am so happy that he was able to pass the bar exam, a life long dream, before he passed! He is a excellent example to his children and all who knew him of what hard work and determination will accomplish!  Although David passed too soon, his ethics and pure love of human kind will be remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. What a beautiful legacy to leave behind!

XOXO Much love to you Diana and family!

Carpool

August 16, 2013

In the spring, I could not do carpool for a few days, and someone recommended that I call the Carrolls.  Without any problem, Dovid Carroll came to my house and picked up my carpool to bring to school, out of his way.  It was such a big help for me and I was so grateful.

Also, I used to go for breakfast to the pizza store and often saw Mr. Carroll and his son getting together for breakfast and I thought that was so inspiring to share time with his son.

Marco Island

August 13, 2013

13 years ago (before we had children) on the 14th of Av we went on vacation to Marco Island. Opening the door to our suite, we noticed the door next to us opening up and.... out came the Carrols! we were so excited! Dovid made the best stir fry and invited us to join them for dinner. Our whole vacation was upgraded... no more tuna and corn from the can. We got real food! Since a day later was Tu B'Av, we decided to have a farbrengen so Dovid and Dina joined us for a L'Chaim. We gave farbrebged for a long time and gave each other brochos. 10 months later we both had children... they were born 2 weeks apart! The power of a farbrengen!

Kindness in the Face of Adversity

August 12, 2013

I had known Dovid for many years and one thing stands out that demonstrates the strength of his character.  After a number of weeks of not seeing him (since I daven at a different shul), I had excitedly came over to him and gave him a big squeeze with a pat on the back.  Little did I know that he was in the midst of dealing with kidney stones.  He gave a grimace of pain, but contained his smile, all the while gently explaining to me what was going on.  I was so terribly sorry that I had unknowingly hurt him, yet he assured me that he'll be ok.

His kindness and smile, while dealing with pain or adversity was always prevalent and serves as lesson for us all.   Dovid, you'll be sorely missed.
