YOUR HEAVENLY FLIGHT
You fought death, at every turn
While for Heaven, your spirit did yearn
You thought God, was moving slow
Asking us to, let you go
Your legs were contracted, you could not walk
At the end, you could no longer talk
You were far sicker, than anyone knew
But you had faith God, would carry you through
Loved ones in Heaven, their faces you did see
Holding your hand up, saying to God come get me
But family here, you were not ready to forget
You would then shake your head, and say no not yet
You gave a good fight, but when your time came
God sent the death angel, your life to claim
At the moment of death, your eyes filled with delight
Your spirit was set free, for its Heavenly flight
You are now in Heaven, your treasures you can view
I hope you knew
How much we loved you
