His transition was like an earthquake ,congratulation to all who survived this earthquake even though it has left a gapping wound in the heart and mind. Only the great physician (uncle Uba is his discipline) can heal this wound but the scar will remain forever.

Words can't express how i felt when i heard of your demise on 15 May 2013, while in class (PRE572) it was so hard to accept. How can i forget your support and encouragement while i was at fgc okigwe, my holidays in Enugu or is it during my days in Uniben, words fail me...oh Death. An outstanding Uncle you were, putting others first before yourself. Thank you for giving me a life. Continue to Rest in Christ.

It was indeed a shock and a premature exit Uncle Uba! I saw you as a gentle, kind, loving, humble soul. Dr Enemuo referred you to my dad and you became one of his tenants. Everyone enjoyed your presence at 34 Udenweze street. You were so easy to talk to. You carried out a successful lumpectomy on my sister and we came to respect and love you more. You always smiled...always. It was your endearing feature. Your love for family was astounding too. Your home was opened to your nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that through that one act, we were all privileged to know and interact with the wonderful people in your world- the Amaechina clan. Amaka, Oge, Njide, Obi, Okezie, Oby- RIP, Ebele, Nkem, Odinuko, endless list here. Even in your death, you still live and shine on!! Thank you for the gifts you brought with you- Timeless and I pray God to ever console your wife and children and may their lives touch our world the way yours did.
We all miss you. Rest on in the loving embrace of our God till we meet to part no more.

Uba nwokem, it's been difficult to believe that you are gone. Still remember our last meeting at the National Hospital, Abuja and the jokes we shared before we parted.. You still wore your ever present smile. You will be sorely missed by all who knew you. Your devotion to your family, patients and friends was unrivaled. Good bye my dear friend.

CHINWUBA!!! Your death is shock of my life and that brings to memory the very common adage that says "N'etiti Ndu anyi no n'onwu". Your Hippocratic oath was not theory rather you demonstrated what it means to serve patients. For me, the hard lesson is to know Christ, abide in His power, fellowship in His suffering and preach the Gospel with time consciousness knowing that time is short.

Words fail me; I find it difficult to put pen to paper, but i asked God to give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Dr Uba was one in a million Uncle, who put others first before himself. I never expected it to end this soon, not even in the next fifty years to come. But death caught me unaware.Your legacies lives on! Adieu, sleep on Uncle

Uncle Uba, i was shocked when i heard the news about ur death. my parents and i were short of words.... "if dis can happen to uncle uba who then are we to talk (our doctor of all cases)" its a pity the cold hands of death snatched u away from us, it did not allow u pass the baton to emeka enuka who has always seen u as his role model. RIP uncle, till we meet again.

Just a few days before your passing, I was having a Speaking Class with my students and the topic was how our views of certain professions affect the way we view people in those professions. They told me what they thought about teachers, lawyers, accountants and so on. Towards the end of the class, they asked me to make my own contribution and I talked about you - I didn't know that my brother was about to be taken from me!

I remembered how growing up, I belived all doctors were like you - meticulous, thorough, frank and many more great things. My students laughed as I recounted some of my childhood and growing up experiences around you - How sometimes, I would be at a corner just observing you without your knowing! I didn't know that I would not be speaking with you ever again!

I was in that same class a few days later, when I got a call telling me of your demise. I started expecting another call that would tell me that you had woken up from that sleep.

A month after, you are still sleeping! I believe that God knows best and He will make a way for all of us, especially, your lovely immediate family that you left behind. You will always live in our hearts - that's for sure!

May your soul rest in perfect peace

While I try to comprehend that I will not see your smile again. And as I continue to try and accept the fact, I do pray that the ones you left behind (Amaechina's) will find solace to such an unexpected loss. May your gentle soul rest in God's perfect peace.
