Dwain L. Manning of Barnard, Vermont passed away on November 15, 2015 in Port Charlotte, Florida at the age of 81.

He was the oldest of 9 children born to Chester R and Elnora (Barrett) Manning.  He attended the Randolph schools and graduated in 1952. After graduation, he began working for the State of Vermont in the Blue Print Department. He left that job to enlist in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in England and worked in electronics where his job was to repair and build radios. Dwain reached the rank of staff sergeant before his discharge. After his discharge, he returned to work for the State of Vermont agency of transportation and was there for 35 years before retiring. On February 14, 1960 he married Sandra Joy. They made their home in Barnard, Vermont and raised 3 children: Stacey, Michael, and Cory. Dwain served the community of Barnard in the capacity of Fire Chief and as a town lister. He later divorced Sandra and married Linda Pearsons in 1997. He enjoyed camping, square dancing, and his beloved dog, Bandit.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister , Theda Roecker; and a brother, Jerry Manning.  He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children: Stacey Manning of Bethel, Michael Manning of Barnard, and Cory Manning and his wife Tressy of Barnard; his 4 grandchildren: Greg and Ted Trimble, Jessica Manning, and Samantha Goodwin; his 4 brothers: Chester, John, Fletcher and Wade; two sisters: Sarah Lane and Dawn Hutchinson; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
