Earl Thomas Bowlin, 81, of North Wilkesboro, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at Avante at Wilkesboro.  He was born September 13, 1930 in Wilkes County to George and Mary Jane Bare Bowlin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Bowlin and Ricky Bowlin; one sister, Delvie Miller; nine brothers, John Allen Bowlin, Robert Bowlin, Jessie Bowlin, Alvin Bowlin, Thurmond Bowlin, Norman Bowlin, Joe Bowlin, Harley Bowlin, and Philmore Bowlin.
Survivors include: two daughters, Patsy Bowlin of MI, Hope Landers of AL; two sons, Earl Wayne Bowlin and wife Linda of MI, James "Jim" Bowlin of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Georgie Sheets and Lillie Stanley Call both of North Wilkesboro; one brother, Arnold Bowlin of Millers Creek; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 o'clock Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel with Rev. Dean Rector officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowlin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes from 12:00 until 1:00 o'clock on Tuesday prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Glen Brizendine, Doug Brown, Scott Rector, Gary Bowlin, Dustin Bowlin, Jason Bowlin, Cody Bowlin, and Ricky McCluskey.
Following the burial, the family will meet at the residence of Jim Bowlin, 1491 West Park Lane, North Wilkesboro.
