About Daddy Falade

January 12, 2014

Our Daddy EBENEZER OLUSESAN FALADE was born in Temidire in Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State of Nigeria on the 22nd of November 1946. He grew up in Ibadan with his most senior Brother, the Late Oba Olabode Falade, the Amuro of Temidire-Ekiti.

Our Daddy started his academic life at the ICC practising School Ibadan from where he proceeded to Lagelu Grammar School Ibadan and then to the prestigious Polytechnic Ibadan where he obtained a Higher National Diploma in Marketing. He had his postgraduate studies at the University of Ado-Ekiti [Then Ondo state University] with a Masters in Business Administration [MBA].

Daddy Falade started his working career with CSS Bookshop Ibadan, then to Opa-Aje Bookstation, both as Managers; from where he proceeded to NICON Insurance Corporation (now NICON insurance PLC) where he rose through the ranks and had a very rich working experience. He retired gloriously after a fruitful career that spanned over 30 years.

Daddy Falade was a member of many professional associations and he attended numerous local and international courses & conferences. He was a distinguished manager and administrator with tremendous leadership qualities, recognized and valued by many.

Daddy was a born again Christian who enjoyed serving the Lord. He was brought up by devout Methodist parents and held leadership positions in all churches he attended in his adult life. A one time member of the Church Council and President of the men's fellowship (CFM) of the Foursquare gospel church, FESTAC district headquarters Lagos.

He focused on personal excellence and deep rooted empathy for people and he was a boundless mentor, encourager, champion and friend to so many people. No wonder, he was known to many as “FELED” at College, “CHAIRMAN” at work, "UNCLE" to most relatives, friends and “PRESIDO” or “MY PRESIDENT” to many in Church.

He loved God and served Him selflessly, cared about his faith and clearly believed and showed this by example. He believed that as Christians, it was important to accompany our faith with good works.

The results of his contributions and empathy will clearly continue unbounded with his legacy down the path of history. He was a great and loving father, a wonderful husband, a caring brother and a good mentor to many.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
