Edgar Dwight Glaspie died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday, July 3, 2014 at KEMBA Headquarters Building, Warsaw with Apostle Steven Seymour officiating. Interment will be in the Glaspie Family Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be 5:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hawes Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw. Edgar was born January 31, 1964 in Duplin County to the late James and the late Wilma Glaspie. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Alexander Glaspie and James Wendell Glaspie. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ella Moore Glaspie; Eight children: Victor Moore, Lachanda (Jarvis) Miller, Antron Glaspie, Cornelius Glaspie, Lazarus Glaspie, Shemeka Glaspie, Jerecka Glaspie, Dwynesha Glaspie; Sisters: Linda (David) Furlow, Karen Glaspie, Wanda (Willie) Artis, Robin Faison, Gloria Glaspie and Frances Furlow; Brothers: Michael (Dorothy) Dewitt, and Donald (Teresa) Dewitt; Uncles: Thomas Dewitt and Lee Butler; Aunts: Genva Whitfield, Rose Glaspie, Helen Cole Nickelson, Lizzy Glaspie; Grandchildren: Jayla Moore, Jarrod Miller and Jediah Glaspie; Sisters-in-law: Lisa Cooper, Patricia Moore, Joyce Glaspie and Helen Glaspie; Brothers-in-law: Robert Moore, Alonza (Delphanie) Moore, James (Celinda)   Moore; Special niece and nephews: Crystal Parker, William Moore and Dorian Frederick; Godchildren: Tyannah and Zyannah Furlow; Special co-workers and friends: Donovan Brock, Randolph Newkirk, and Roger Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
