Edgar Fleming Henley, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Universal Health Care in Oxford, NC.
He was the son of the late Foster and Rosa Henley. He is survived by his sisters Susie Preddy, Marie Bailey, Mildred Williamson, Judy Boyd and Patricia Goss, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Henley , Herbert Henley and a sister, Barbara Young.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Christian Church , 4137 Old Franklinton Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525 by the Rev. Don Owens. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral at the church.

Our deepest condolences to Henley family. Please know that our Hearts and Prayers are with all of you. May each of you be comforted by the many warm thoughts of those who care Mr. Ed was the very first person to welcome us to the neighborhood nine years ago and it has been a blessing to be his friend. He will be missed by many, remembered by many, and thought about often. I know that the good lord has taken Mr. Ed in his arms and is holding him tight.
