Mrs. Brown was born Thursday, October 30, 1924, in Randolph County, Alabama, the daughter of the late George and Jessie Lou McCarley Hester. She was a resident of West Point before moving to Livingston, Montana to live with her grandson. She was an active member of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church while living here. Mrs. Brown retired from West Point Pepperell with 43 years of service.

Survivors include her grandson Keith Brown of Livingston, Montana and her granddaughter Kellie Johnson; her sister, Sue Holloway of Roanoke, Alabama; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Brown of LaGrange and Louise Brown of Rome. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband Walter Brown and her son Tim Brown.
