Edith was born to Arthur and Ruby Wooding on 19th May 1937 in the wheat belt town of Wagin The family lived there for a few years ,then before her primary school she moved to Lake St in Highgate.Edith faced many health challenges from this time and onward,yet always managed to rise above the challenge In her teens Edith worked for a few short years at the Arnott Biscuit factory before marrying John Wilton,at age 17, They would go on to have 4 sons Alan,Malcolm,Andrew and Warren. Unfortunately Malcolme tragically passed away in 1978,leaving Edith heartbroken .She then lost her husband John to respitatory disease in 1990; she has worn that wedding ring from then till now .Edith loved to cook,which was a good thing with 4 sons to feed She would often bake and find her cakes had gone missing,knowing that her boy's had 'borrowed' them without asking but she never seemed to mind She loved music,especially the piano and organ,she expressed a desire to learn to play, but in her busy life she never had the oportunity to do so.Edith lived at the same house in North Beach ,where her boys were raised and still call home for 42 years;she knew everything about her neighborhood friends and loved spending time with them all. She loved to go shopping.Edith leaves behind 3 sons and 2 daughters in law Alan,Andrew and Sharon,Warren and Jodie and 7 grandchildren .She is also survived by her siblings: Nancy,Lorraine,Ivy,,Ron and Arthur. Edith is loved and loved much and will be missed by all.
