Edna Self Satterwhite, 73, a resident of Granville County most of her life, passed away Thursday, July 25th 2013 at the home of her daughter.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Brackett and Savillia Newcomb Self. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was the former owner-operator of Creedmoor Dry Cleaners for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27th, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. James and Joyce Smith. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Whitfield (Donnie Whitfield) of Oxford and Connie Ivey (Robert) of Creedmoor, a son, Todd Brogden (Teresa) of Creedmoor, two step-sons, Dennis and Mickey Satterwhite of Mecklenburg County, Va., two sisters, Julia S. Autrey of Creedmoor, Jane S. McDaniel of Surf City, three brothers, Sonny Self, Larry Self, and Johnny Self all of Oxford, five grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-grandaughter and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by husbands, Mickey Brogden and Hunter Satterwhite.
Visitation will be held Friday July 26 ,2013 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor from 7:00 to 8:30 and at other times at 7001 Greenway Road, Oxford, NC.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Satterwhite family.
