So sorry that I was not able to attend Ed's services as I so wanted to extend my condolences in person to his dear family. Ed and I were good friends during his many days at South Harrison Elementary School. He always had a warm smile, a kind word and such an engaging laugh. He was truly proud of his family and so willing to share stories of Colin and Ethan whom I had the pleasure of teaching in first grade. I will miss Ed but hold many enduring memories of his fondness for the students, his family and his community. South Harrison has lost a legend and we have all lost a such a special person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a heart wrenching day for all of you. I can't express my sadness for you. I know he was sick and suffering and he is now at peace, but you've lost a legend. A good old fashioned family man of the earth and of strong beliefs. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
