Missed you at Thanksgiving last year and will again this year. I know you're happy there and I will see you again.

I have almost a lifetime of wonderful memories since we lived only about a mile from each other. And all of them are good. A few stand out.
I am from December to April older. During those months your mom let you drive to my house and I drove us to the "big town" of Wadley to the movies. When you got your license you never let me drive again.
You came often and took me riding in your little open air car. No doors, no Windows. I still have a picture of us in it.  I remember worrying about your driving to fast. I also hAve a picture of the nice car that you finally wrecked. We were all so thankful you were not hurt. .
I don't remember you ever raising your voice in anger. 
I miss you.

You won't be dropping by my house and I will truly miss that. RIP Edward. I'll see you again.

Edward, you have been a great friend since you and I met in the first grade in 1942.....and we went all through school together, something not many can say these days. Through all these years I cannot recall a time when we had any disagreements. One of my last memories of you was when you and I sat at the same table for dinner at our reunion 2016.....and we had the opportunity to talk one on one...and that was a very pleasant experience for me and one that I will cherish for the rest of my days. I was in shock when I heard what happened to you, but I know you are in a better place now......and may you rest in peace ole friend!

True and Special Friends are someone you can share the Good and Bad Times with. Ed, Thank You for being a very special part of mine and my wife Susan' s lives. GOD please accept our thanks for blessing our lives and other lives with such a kind, gentle and big hearted friend.
