Elaine was born on September 5th, 1931 in Wyconda, Missouri.  Shortly thereafter her family moved to Fort Madison, Iowa where she attended grammar and high school.  Subsequently, Elaine received a scollership to the University of Iowa and became a nurse.  Elained worked for over 58 years in hospitals in Fort Madison, Iowa, Lake  Forest, Illinois, and Evanston Illinois.

While at Lake Forest Hospital, Elaine met her husband, Jim.  They married on April 28'th and moved to the north side of Chicago where they resided for many years.  A few years aftter their marrage, Elaine and Jim became the legal guardians of a young boy whose father and mother had died. This young boy is now a bank executive, married with three children.

Elaine was a caring, loving, unique individual with an upbeat personality who always tried her best to do the right thing for others.  She made a positive impact on all those with whom she associated, even though she suffered from  a number of painful chronic ailments.

Elaine died in her sleep on July 26th, 2012 in a nursing home in Chicago after a long hospital confinement and is dearly missed by her husband,  family, friends and all who knew her.
