Ms. Moncus was born Friday, July 24, 1942, in Valley, Alabama, the daughter of Bernice Hill and Albert May. She was a graduate of Valley High School and Southern Union Junior College. She was a homemaker and an active Christian.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne (Allison) Cummins, Tony Cummins and Greg (Connie) Cummins; her sister, Margaret Brown; her brothers, Wayne May and Mike May; and a number of grandchildren. She was precede in death by her son, Kenneth Cummins and her sister, Jenny Shoemake.
