Elbert Ernest Price, 75, a longtime resident of Granville County, the son of the late William Ernest Price.  He was of the Baptist Faith, worked at the Oxford Orphanage for many years and later retired from farming.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Norman Talley.

Surviving are two daughters, Freda P. Brown, Penny P. Whitlow both of Roxboro, two sons, Mark Price of Oxford, Chad Price of Roxboro, his mother, Etta Day Price of Oxford, eight sisters, Helen P. Poole, Mattie Lou Hancock, Annette P. Eddins, Charlotte P. Dickerson, all of Oxford, Wilma P. Elliott of Smithfield, Brenda P. Self of Virgilina, Va., Ernestine P. Chambers, Cathy P. Taylor, both of Timberlake, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brother William Bernard Price.

dear uncle elbert. as i run the memories of you farming,hanging out in the yard. and just being your crazy self. u loved life to the fullest . i will never forget you as you have passed into the door of heaven. i love and will miss you dearly but will be with you one day in time.
