I remember the morning when you said you were going into the hospice and you said it was for a rest and to give us a rest. I was so naive and did not really know what a hospice really was. Remembering the doctors words when he said that you was leaving us sooner rather than later cut like a knife. But us is your family thought if we didn't tell you then you would carry on fighting, how selfish of us. Little did we know that you had carried on fighting for an extra 7 months because the doctors had already told you before Christmas that you only had weeks to live. You made the decision not to tell the people you loved because you didn't want to upset us. What a selfless and brave women you were. And the little note you left behind that read don't be sad because I'll soon be home because I love you all more than chocolate, I still have that note after 26 years.  The best Mum ever.....and the best dad ever is with you..RIP Mum and Dad.
