To a much loved lady. Mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and godmother, and friend. Who always had a cheerful infectious laugh, loved a glass of wine and her family. Hopefully will now be with the love of her life, and soulmate Uncle George, rest in peace,

My Godmother

February 17, 2013

My Beautiful godmother drove up from croydon every 2-3 weeks during 4 months of my chemotheraphy treatment, to support me, and just be there for me. She had some difficult news to deal with during one week of my treatment and in her heart she wanted to be with with my little cousin Nigel, but wouldnt leave me knowing what I was going through. She gave me strength to carry on with my treatment listened to my mad ramblings, and distracted me by researching family history while she was with me.
She had a quiet strength and calm about her during my crisis as it was only eight months after losing my beloved father, one of her beloved big brothers. She adored her brothers but sadly two of them and is survived by the infamous Brian the oldest cherished big brother.
I have many stories of my aunt, some funny, some hilarious and some sad. But she left a big imprint on my heart.
Rest in peace, my beloved Aunt. xxx

A role model indeed

February 15, 2013

This lovely lady welcomed me into the family from day 1.  Without her gentle 'nagging' I would never have learnt to drive, the first thing she would ask when we met up was 'are you driving yet', at 35 I did learn and it was her support that got me there.

What a party lady too, I have always said she is my role model in life, as she lived life to the full and everyone loved her.

When it was our daughters wedding we said we would go to her hotel to meet her for a drink.  First thing she said was where are you taking me for dinner LOL, we had a lovely evening in the pub garden and yes she did indeed get treated to dinner!

RIP lovely lady, I will so miss you and look forward to the day we meet again.  No doubt you will tell me where I went wrong!  Love You

By the way you gave the best cuddles in the world. x
