She was born Eurith Elizabeth Comolli to Paul and Mary Eurith Lovelady Comolli in Del Rio, Texas on September 9, 1917. She never used her first name Eurith, because of her mother. She preferred to be called Elizabeth.

She and her family moved to Sweetwater in 1938 after the death of her father, Paul in 1937. Her mother Mary Eurith and her brother Paul established Sweetwater Floral Company, now the city's oldest floral business.

She also attended Abilene Christian College in 1936-1936 before beginning a 45 year career as a floral designer and later became the sole operator of the business.

She was a long time member of the Avenue B Church of Christ, where she taught the children's bible class.

She was a member of the Sweetwater Business and Professional Women's Club for 42 years and was honored as the Club's Woman of the year in 1994. She also served on the board for the Mesquite County Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse and was a member of the Bluebonnet FCE Association. She was also Precinct Chairman for the Republican Party in Nolan County.

Elizabeth was the finest Christian lady I have ever known and lived her faith. I never heard an unkind word from her and never a complaint. She did much for others and was totally unselfish, never wanting anything in return. She always had a beautiful smile and words of encouragement. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
