    Elizabeth Hicks Jones, 81, a resident of Peake Road, died Tuesday, November 16th at Duke University Medical Center.      A native of Granville County, the widow of William Brodie Jones Sr. and the daughter of the late Hubert Alvin and Helen Harris Hicks. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and was a homemaker.      Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 19th in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Jim Shelley. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.      Surviving are two sons, William Brodie Jones Jr.(Linda)and Gary Joe Jones(Tammy), both of Oxford, a sister, Dorothy Hicks Tingen of Oxford, a brother, Joe Billy Hicks of Gray Rock, three grandchildren, Nikki Jo Jones, Chase William Jones and Joseph Brodie Jones, all of Oxford.      Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church, c/o Buck Adcock, 2115 Tommie Daniel Road, Oxford, NC 27565.      Visitation  7:00-8:30 PM Thursday evening at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.

"There are no words to express how sad we feel about her death. She was our friend and we loved her so much. We had some good times going places together. We laughed a lot about Gary Joe and Brodie Jr. She always enjoyed talking about them and picking on them. They were the gleam in her eye right along side her grandchildren that she was so proud of.
