It's been about 4 years since you left us, Grandma. Everyday I work my butt off because that's what you taught me to do. You're the reason I am in the business I am in. Your kind soul and love of southern style cooking formed me into the woman I am today. The one who loves to cook and be around lots of people. You are my hero. My guardian angel. Continue to look upon us all, and help guide us on our paths. <3 Love Always,

Tiffany <3

A year later

October 1, 2012

Today marks 1 year since you were taken away from us, Grandma. But I know that the good Lord took you from us. But I know he did it for a reason, and now we have a wonderful angel watching over us, and protecting us. I am trying not to mourn the passing of you, but its so hard not to. It's like I want to be able to come home, and see your face there making biscuits. I miss you so incredibly much, I keep hoping that maybe I'll wake up and it's just a dream....but I know that'll never be. You were such an amazing person. People ask me why I decided to go to college, and my response is "to make my Grandma proud." The leaves are starting to change up here, and I know how much you liked the fall. We'd always go and put up the decorations in the yard, and put up the orange lights in the kitchen. I love you so much, continue to watch down on all of us, especially Granddaddy. Lord only knows how much he misses you. We all do. <3

The day I left...

October 5, 2011

I left for college on August 19th, I came home a couple weeks later to see my Grandma. I told her when I left that I loved her, and that I would come see her as soon as I came home for my next break in mid October. She always told me she wanted me to go to college and get a good education and she would be proud of me where ever I went. I went 6 hours away...and that's hard when you are used to seeing your Grandma every weekend. I never thought that she would die. It's still so hard to believe she has passed. I had so many memories with her, from cooking her famous homemade biscuits and banana pudding to walking up the dirt road to check the mail box and picking vegetables in the gardens. At first, I was just coming to school for myself. But now, I am going to make my Grandma proud of me. Because she always had faith and me and told me that I could do whatever I wanted to in life. She was an amazing lady, and I loved her so much. I love you Grandma, now you're my angel who will always be watching over me. You will always be with me, in every step of my life I take. Always in my heart, and always on my mind...forever. Love your granddaughter, Tiffany <3

My Momma

October 5, 2011

A few days ago I was asked was I Mrs. Vaughan's daughter by a nurse at GMC, I replied yes I was the youngest. He said you look to so young I told him I was the oops. I joke about the fact that I was so much younger than Bubba and Bonnie but I realized long ago that I wasnt really a oops, I was sent to take care of Momma and Daddy. Daddy and Momma cared for all us kids and still had love to go around for a second set of kids their Grandkids, then their Great- grandkids.

Momma will now be our Angel and watch over us. We will always treasure our memories and she will Forever be in our hearts. Love You Momma
