I met Ellen over 13 years ago when I started dating her daughter Beverly. Since then I got to know her more by staying with her daughter and marrying her. Ellen has been very supportive of me and my kids as they were real grandchildren. I loved joking with her. she always came back with a comment. I will miss her very much and I know she will watch over us all. luv you Ellen.

Ellen was not only my cousin but my best friend growing up. Her Dad and my Mom were brother and sister. We were always together at one of our houses or at Cloverdale visiting Uncle Raymond and Aunt Effie and fishing. In the summer I stayed a lot at Aunt Agnes and Uncle Bill and was part of the family. I sure miss those times miss all of them. Of course being cousins we sometimes didn't get along but then we would make up. I was Ellen's Maid of Honor and as time went on I got married and life took us into different directions. I always kept up with Ed and Ellen with my phone calls to Aunt Agnes. I truly will miss you Ellen a very special cousin. Until we see each other again I Love You, your cousin Sandy Tell your Mom and Dad Hi from me.

My Mother My Angel

© Kathy J Parenteau

Once upon a time an angel held my hand,
She wiped away my tears and helped me understand.
Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,
Each precious day God gives us another page is turned.
Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,
Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year.
She loved us unconditionally, always by our side,
When no one else would listen, in her we could confide.
With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,
Down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.
She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets,
Always from her heart let's not forget.
Angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother,
With love I cannot say in words there'll never be another.
Every day I turn the page in my heart will ever remain,
Everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane.
Thank you God for giving me the most priceless of all treasures,
Help my Lord to keep alive her memory here forever.
I pray that I can some day be everything she hoped I would,
That's she smiling down from heaven knowing she did good.
As we gather here today there's no ending to her story,
Another chapter has begun full of grace and glory.
God's called her to his heavenly home, part of his great plan,
Although it may be hard, we all must understand.
Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see,
Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe.

To the entire Boer family our deepest sympathy. We met Ed and Ellen and their family while stationed in England. We also suffered a loss recently when our daughter, Carla, passed away in April, from breast cancer, she was 43.

It's with great sadness that I create this website today in tribute to a beautiful woman. Ellen was a fighter and always had a smile on her face. I will miss her contagious smile & her spunk. I love you!

I met Ellen when we were stationed in England. My husband had known Ed & Ellen prior to this assignment. Ellen made me a friend of hers immediately. I was so very grateful.there was no Ifs ands or buts, I was her friend. The 4 of us loved to go antiquing together & have fun while on the hunt. I am proud to say that we remained friends all these years. We will miss Ellen. We loved her generosity and sweetness. She was one of a kind. She will always be in our hearts. Love you Ellen. Linda & Gary Wheatley

I first met Ellen about fifty tive years ago.  Her family joined the church that my family attended.  we became very tood friends and remained friends as our lives took us in different directions. We both got married in 1967. she and Ed headed to England with the military and then moved around as the assignments came.  My husband and i headed for Californiawith his job.  The years sped by and then the retirement age was upon us.  Ed and Ellen had alredy retired to Arizona.  We decided on retirement to Yum, Az.  Over the years we have visited back and forth between Glendale and Yuma.  We have taken many trips together. I am going to miss my very dear friend in the years to come.  Ellen we love you and will think of you often
