Emaleen Matilda Clarke-Lovell
Sunrise April 2, 1950 - Sunset June 28, 2012

Emaleen M. Clarke-Lovell (Emily) was born in Essequibo, Guyana, on Tuesday,

April 2, 1950. Peacefully she entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, June 28, 2012.

She was the daughter born to Joseph Smith and Doris Clarke

She was joined in holy matrimony to Trevor Lovell on May 10, 1996. She has four

children: Terrence Greene, Sherwin Greene, Selwin Greene Lawrence Greene. She worked

as a Private Nurse for many years.

Before and even during her illness, Emaleen or “Mothers”, as she was fondly called

by all who knew her in Essequibo always maintained a welcoming demeanor and a

pleasant countenance. Without fail, Emaleen diligently prepared delicious meals for

her guests once she knew that you would be visiting. It did not matter if you were a

relative, a friend or an acquaintance, once you entered her home you were fed and no

one ever left hungry. She provided the best meals, and if she knew you liked a certain

dish, she made sure that it was prepared for you. Emaleen was a hostess who paid

attention to every detail; if time did not permit her to prepare the meal, she would

purchase it for you from a catering establishment. We all applauded Emaleen for her

outstanding hospitality.

Emaleen cared for everyone from the bottom of her heart, and her recent illness

which took away her speech, did not prevent her from expressing that love and

concern. She spoke with her eyes. She showed her love and abiding concern with her

beautiful eyes.

Emaleen is survived by her husband Trevor Lovell, children Terrence Greene, Sherwin

Greene, Selwin Greene, Lawrence Greene. Grandchildren Selwin Greene Jr, Lauren Greene,

Semira Greene. Mother in Law of Portia Greene, Moneta Greene, Anteneth Greene. Sister

In The Sweet By And By

There’s a land that is fairer than day,

And by faith we can see it afar;

For the Father waits over the way

To prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain

In the sweet by and by,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore;

In the sweet by and by,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore

The melodious songs of the blessed;

And our spirits shall sorrow no more,

Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

Refrain

To our bountiful Father above,

We will offer our tribute of praise

For the glorious gift of His love

And the blessings that hallow our days.
