In the late 70's Eric spent a couple of years commercial fishing out of Kodiak Alaska with his brother Jay.  He started on a Shrimp boat, long lined Halibut, and fished for King and Snow Crab.  He survived the sinking of his Crab boat at night in January about 25 miles offshore.  He was wearing his underwear and a tee shirt.
