Eric was first born and Loving Son of Michael and Teresa (nee:Conachy)
He was a loving caring and affectionate brother to Brian and Leah.
Eric was the first grandchild of the Late William F. and Frances.
He would be the first of 16 grandchildren of Beverly and the Late Martin W. Conachy twice Decorated SFPD Officer and "Marty" believed in saving lives not hurting people. He was well loved by the people on his Beat and always used discernment. A very Spiritual man with a strong 6th sense which is what made him a "GOOD" cop. He often said "I never took "dirty" money". He didn't, but that is not the way of advancing in this world, is it?
His Grandfather Martin bought Eric his first Football. That would turn into a lifelong love for the Sport. And Eric would often relieve stress by throwing a football with a willing friend or family member. He was a Devout Raider Fan!
Eric was a brilliant artist, a natural comedian, free Spirit, prolific writer, incredible cook. He was our personal "Chef" and he loved cooking for everyone.
He loved photography and film too and spent time on his editing machine with old 16MM film.
He shared his love for music with all of us. There are certain Tunes that stand out. And those Tunes clearly mark the Playlist of his life.
He read books that others described as being "To heavy", "To deep".
But Eric was "Deep".
And he loved his cat "Earl". He named Earl. Earl was much smaller than his brothers and we thought for sure it was a girl.
Eric noticed one day, and said" Hey, it's not a girl, it's an Earl"....He had a special bond with that cat and that cat loved him and is still sleeping with his hat...All of our pets loved Eric.
Other's people's pets loved him too.
He studied at "The Academy of Arts" in San Francisco.
Eric wrote that he was a "Silent Scholar of the Invisible College"
Eric held many positions of employment, in Construction, Concert Staging as a High Platform Rigger for which he traveled out-of-state, a Chef, Bartending, Marketing, Media, the Film Industry as a "Grip"and Film editing and Lighting, a member Local 540 and a few more jobs not mentioned. He made interesting friendships wherever he went.
Eric followed his passion.. and he was as real as real allows. So honest and caring. He embraced all of his life as a learning experience and an adventure.
Eric was a 5th generation San Franciscan. He loved to hear the stories that his Grandfather related of his experiences and the history of the City and what it ONCE was.Eric identified deeply with his GrandFather's Spiritual Values and that sense of Spirit, that "Knowing" I'm sure is genetic.
He was so well read, and had a broad knowledge and a passion for ancient history.
Eric brought kindness, laughter, adventure, empathy, heartfelt passion and Spiritual wisdom to all whom he loved.
Always true to his heart and his inner voice, he could not be "Bought".
He would not tolerate dishonest people who exploited others for their own gain.
And because he had that kind of integrity he is no longer with us. It would seem we live in a World now that the value of your life is what someone else can gain
or profit from it. More will be revealed later, when it is time....And "They" are aware of who I am addressing in that statement.
INNOCENT!
MAY THE TRUTH SET US FREE!!!
Eric lit up a room with his handsome 6'4" presence and incredible "Ice cutting" wit.
He loved his family more than anything. He loved the Holidays when he could reunite with his cousins. And you could be sure that he would get a football game going on the front lawn of his grandparents 5 acres.
He leaves many treasured memories with numerous Uncles, Aunts, 13 first Cousins and many, many Friends especially in the Paradise/Chico area of California, his second home, and where he would always rather be.
He is survived by a his Beautiful young Son also named Eric... Eric said of His Son "He's My Heart"..
He Loved Him So Much..
