This memorial website was created in memory of my dad...

Ernest Clifford Hebert, 67, of South Lyon, Michigan, beloved husband and best friend of Evelyn (Gulli) Hebert for 39 years, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on January 7, 2014.

He was predeceased by his father Clarence Clifford Hebert.

Ernie was born in Detroit and lived in the suburbs most of his life. He attended the University of Michigan and received a BA. He later on went to earn a Masters in Business from Eastern Michigan University. He had a passion for learning and a love of history.

Ernie worked as a regional group insurance manager out of Brighton and enjoyed running his own office. He had many longtime business associates, of which many became his close friends.

Besides his wife Evelyn (Bella), Ernie is survived by his daughter Wendy Hebert of South Lyon, and his grandchildren, Jillian and Michael, and sister Deborah (Hebert) Pruitt of Auburndale Florida; l; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the Henry Ford Hospice and Palliative Care Association. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last 2 months were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.

A memorial service will be held honoring Ernest on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Homewood Suites 8060 Challis Road Brighton MI 48116. So happy to find this today so I can express a few words...Ernie was a wonderful person. I only knew him for a few years but each time together felt like we had a life time of shared experiences. We shared the same love for alternative medicine, body/mind healing, music, political bantering, animal lover and entrepreneurship.

I will forever miss his sobering honest appraisal he would give me on topics. God bless you, were alit less without you here RIP (return if possible ). Gary W Abersold

I am shocked, and saddened, to hear the news of Ernie's passing. I have nothing but fond, wonderful memories of Ernie and the short time that I was able to spend with him and know him, many years ago. Great memories of boating, laughing, a vacation with the family in the Florida Keys, and numerous outings. Bella and Wendy, I am thinking of you. Please know that I continue to think of you both with a smile and am sending you strength, peace and much love. Sincerely, Sue White-Zurek

Through the years I have lots of memories of the
family gatherings when we were all together. Christmas ' at the Vieceli's , pool parties at Zia Olga's, boat rides with Captain Ernie, Point Pelee (that was too, too funny) and many more. He will be missed. In life He was blessed with a wonderful family. May his afterlife be blessed with peace.

I miss you Dad, honestly I miss everything about you. I miss your hugs. I miss your advice and I miss your stories but most of all I miss you. You were my hero. I looked up to you more than anyone and the day that you left was the worst day of my life. I would do anything to see your smiling face again and hear your voice. You are forever with me dad, always in my heart.
