Her Life

Esther Barnett's Life

May 23, 2012

This lovely and beautifulm LADY you see here in this picture, was my MOM. She was 80 when she passed away to be with the Lord. Her life as a child was hard, and her Mom struggled to raise all of her children after she divorced their Father. She had a large family, and most of them have also gone on. She gave birth to me on June 20, 1946, and was married to Wilbur Kepley at the time. My Father passed away in 1947, from injuries due to him wrecking his truck near Grand Rapid's MI. I was 18mos. old at the time, so sadly i never got to know my Daddy. My Mom met Thomas Barnett, shortly after that, and when they got married, he chose to adopt me and give me his last name. He is a very wonderful man, and is a great Father. He is now 95yrs. old.   My Mom and dad decided to have more children, so along camy sister Nancy. Next in line came Shirley, the best sister i could ever have or want. Well, Mom wanted to give Dad a son, so along came our baby brother Thomas Jr. I remember times spent at the lake during the summer!! The outdoor pit fires, the meals cooked on the grill, the friends who came for fish fry's. So many have gone on now, but all their good time's i will keep forever in my heart. I remember the first time i met my Dad's parent's too. They were wonderful loving people, and took me as their very own grandchild.  My Mother's sibling's were 1. Bill Vankoughnett, Bob Vankoughnett, Ruby Vankoughnett, Ann Vankoughnett, Clementine Vankoughnett, who they called Viola. We had many great Family reunion's. I sure do miss those time's, but i would not wish my Mom back, as she suffered a great deal of pain, and now, there atre no more tear's, no more pain and no more suffering. She is finally at peace.  Love you MOMMY, and Miss you too. This memorial i have created, is to honor this great woman, wife and Mother. See you in Heaven Mom. Remember all those who have gone on to a better place. Memorial day is coming up next Monday, so take the time to remember those who fought for our country, those who are still fighting for our country, and those who have fallen fighting for our country, as well as our loved one's. Give them all Honor by taking a few minute's every day to pray.
