Eudora C. I. Pinson of Lone Oak, Georgia departed this life peacefully early Sunday morning, may 4, 2014 to join her heavenly family.  She was born into the St. Paul CME Church family.  She joined Harris Memorial CME Church in Dayton, Ohio.  She was educated in the Meriwether County School System.  She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Ella Ruth Tigner.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Pinson Jr.; son, Earl Eugene Pinson; brothers, Dewey Jr. (Betty Jean), James Robert Tigner; and sister, Geneva Tigner Sewell (Leonard).  We must remember her sister-in-law, Carrie (Robert) Pinson (her bingo partner).

She was affectionately known to everyone as “Big Mama”.  She will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched with her LOVE.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son John D. Pinson, III (Robin); daughters, Clara (George) of Dayton, Ohio, Annie Kate Pooler (Kenny), Gennise Pinson, Deborah Lowe (Dennis) of Georgia; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; eight special grandchildren (Atlanta Group Home); one aunt, Annie Mae Summers of Detroit, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Betty TignerPortress of Atlanta, Georgia; special daughter, Lillian Geter; special prayer partner, Loretta Freeman; host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Special acknowledgement to her primary caregiver daughter, Gennise; granddaughters, Tisa A. Ford (Bernard), Carmen Wheelous (Jamie); great granddaughter, Johnika Wright for their love and devotion and caring for “Big Mama” right up to her last minutes of life; Hospice Healthcare of LaGrange, Georgia; Janice Hall; and Pastor Wayne and Deborah Sheppard.
