Her Life

Eula Mae Dawson Allen, sixth child born to the union of Willie S. and Clara Dallas Dawson on April 9, 1925.  

  At an early age she joined Harmonica CME Methodist Church and served faithfully until her health began to fail.  She was a member of the Old Ship of Zion and A Savings & Social Club.  

  The church also served as a learning facility and she received her education there as well.  

  She met and married Robert Allen and to this union five children were born and raised in a loving and caring home.  

  Mama Eula was passionate and conscientious about care-taking.  She moved to Decatur, Georgia where as she further her passion as a care-taker.  She was employed for many years at East Lake Arbor Rehab and Convalescent Center.  There she met many friends and co-workers that loved her dearly.  There she exemplified a great leadership role as a Lead CNA.  She received several certificates regarding superb care for her patients.    

  On December 23, 2014, it was at East Lake Arbor Rehab Convalescent Center that she put on her traveling shoes to bid s good-bye, to join her parents, Willie and Clara; her husband, Robert; her sisters, Mary and Catherine; her brothers, MC, Robert and YB.  
  She leaves to cherish her loving memories are her children: Clara (late Joe) Williams of Decatur, GA, Vivian (John) Rosser of Hogansville, GA, Robert (Irene) Allen of Lexington, KY, Johnny (Florine) Allen of Oxenhill, MD, and Stanley (Mary) Allen of Newnan, GA; two sisters, Mae Ruth Griffin and Lucille Ransby; two sister-in-laws, Doris Linsley and Daisy Dawson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
