A LETTER TO MY DAUGHTER FROM HEAVEN

November 7, 2010

A LETTER TO MY DAUGHTER FROM HEAVEN

I am writing to you from Heaven,
I know it must appear a rather strange idea since I see everything from here.
Please know I had to visit you because you did not hear me call.
For in your deep sorrow you could not hear me at all.

I so want you to know how much that you are loved
I want to give you hugs and kisses as I do now from above.
You know how precious and good you were to me, always standing by my side
My heart was breaking open watching all the tears you cried.

I knew you were with me asking me to stay here with you and let things be the same
I so wanted to reach out and touch you, but God was keeping me free from the pain.
My life was well lived although sometimes sad and blue.
But God gave me such a special blessing the day he gave me you.

I thought that if I showed you, that you would truly come to know,
that even though I live in heaven now, I still deeply love you so.
You can talk with me and dream of me, and oh the stories we can share.
You need to understand that in your heart and mind I will always be there..

You carry my love and pride in your heart, and your tears are hid from sight.
And Oh the fears you have for me in the middle of the night.
You have a living memory that within your heart will always play.
I know it’s hard but time moves on and today, it just cannot stay.

You have so much to celebrate each day your here on earth.
You have a chance to share lessons, you have learned since I gave you birth.
Always honor and remember me in a very special way.
The mother who went before you and helped you lead the way.

The life that I shared with you is far from over dear one
Your life as a kind and loving woman has only just begun.
Teach your children kindness, compassion and especially true worth
The same qualities that I gave to you from your first day here on earth.

Thank you my sweet daughter for loving me as you did. You really were the best.
I have done all I can do on earth; to you I leave the rest
Find a way to smile and laugh again and share memories of me.
Please know that I am truly at peace with those I love in this place called eternity.
