When I first met Perry we went to the hydro races on Greenlake.  Limited hydroplanes going 100mph, they were quite close to shore, it's not that big a lake. Nice glasses Mun, another Heidelburg?

Grant Fjermedal (skipper), Bob Ranke (cook), Perry Hergert (navigator/trimmer) crew the ThunderBird Potlatch on Puget Sound. Veterans of many South, Mid and North Sound Races as well as Switfsure (Straits of Juan de Fuca) also enjoyed extended trips to the San Juans.

Too many guys in a van headed for the snow, kind of like a sailboat without a bilge to keep the beer cold. Perr loved to ski powder and didn't mind a hike to get to it. Jim is the only guy I know who could smoke while skiing.

Perry jumped ship and crewed for the treacherous, arch rival "Scuffy".  The skipper (Cliff?) is preparing to "moon" us celebrating their victory in a Wednesday evening race at Leshi, Lake Washington.
