""a Bukky Bukky somebody oh irabadooo, lonjo yi oh Irabadooo"

That was his Song for me.

Sigh. It's taken me a while to come here to write anything. I'm still not ready.

My Daddy, warrior, trouble Maker, My Friend. I feel like I've made the same mistake twice to realize that it's when they are no longer around, is when you realize you would do anything for them. I miss you More than anything else. Come back lets even continue to fight, I'll take that than not having you around at all. A girl's father is her first love and you'll always be my first. I hope that in my own little way I showed you that I LOVE YOU. I'm hurting, but I'm also Happy because where you are now, it's a much better place than Here. Continue to Rest in the Bossom of The Lord, and I know you're probably in the dance crew of Heaven because you've got Moves Daddy."

"Baba Buki just realising that i wont have anyone to scold,  quarrel  with. I am on my way to PH now, and it hit me that you wont be calling me to ask for one thing or the other, but above all just to find out how i am. You dont apprecuate things, till you no longer have access to them. My brother  from the same mother and father as you said on the day you passed on. I miss you so much. Rest in peace."

"Efunbaby is a coming fatso... Never understood where that came from, but that was your nickname for me and I loved it so. I miss you and I pray you rest in peace."

"Baba Buks, you have left a big vacuum  in our lives. We have been reminiscing and we have laughed and cried. Was it English? You  had word in your mouth. I remember Efun's wedding, after the reception at Maryland, i was not feeling well at all. You agreed to drive me to Surulere and find your way back home. I am sure everyone who knew you would have a story or two to tell. Generous to a fault.
Going through your facebook details, your comment about yourself: simple and easy going but gets upset easily. Favourite  quote: To err is human but to forgive is divine. How deep!. Uncle I will mourn you for a while. I dont know when we grew so  close. I think it was just out of necessity.  You needed to be looked after. At your death, all your earthly possesions fit into my booth. What lesson on poverty and detachment!  You came with nothing into the world and you left with nothing. As i begin my retreat today, i will meditate on your life and lessons to be learnt. What a lovely and solemn Funeral Mass. Baba Buki, you are a winner, all the time. Sleep on kid brother and please put in a word on our behalf. As more ideas come,  i will write."

"So,sad gone to soon, for you to depart Bro,you always pop in to say hi whenever you are around, at 46 Campbell Street Lagos, we shared the same name, the rascal Lawson blood in the neighborhood, rest Bro,it is well to all you left behind!!"

""Uncle" was one of my favourite cousins. A jolly good fellow who laughed heartily and loved easily. A Gregorian, like most of us Lawson men, of the family line of Frank Mensah Lawson. In spite of his mere 50 years on earth, he left indellible prints that will live on in his 2 beautiful daughters. As I write this, I have a smile on my face as I remember him and his nickname given him by his Dad ... "Uncle bambidimbom". Rest in perfect peace, brother."

"Uncle, I was just reminiscing with my other siblings about how close we all were growing up. Spending vacations together in Ibadan (we use to go to Dugbe market from your house then, not caring or even knowing the dangers we were placing ourselves in.  l just cannot get that smile off my mind, that Lawson's smile.  I know you are resting in peace, no pain and in the bossom of our Lord and God. Please, say hello to my dad, and keep watch over your girls "oku olomo ki sun o" Your girls now have an angel watching over them, amen. Uncle sure o, Nadu agba."

"My brother was generous to a fault. He had a big heart.he had his troubles but he knew how to love. I would not exchange the last moments with him for anything.. did my soul a lot of good."

"This is very bad news.

I first met Felix at Government College Victoria Island in 1981 and loved hanging out with him, loved his mischievous bubbly vibe from the very start. He was a "Rare  from V.I" but was also a very simple and easygoing chap; he didn't wear his class or social status in an arrogant or overbearing manner. We met again at the University of Jos where I had the pleasure of watching Feliko in heated debates as we loitered at the campus gate on Bauchi Road.

His friends will remember a kind-hearted and beautiful soul, a generous and gregarious spirit, and that sunshine smile he had ... Yes, he will be sadly missed. Very sadly missed. People like Felix Lawson always are."

"Tei, it was a shock to hear of your passage. It saddened me because just a few short months ago, you were still celebrating cheating death and telling me what you had been through since the last time I saw you. Rest in peace. Adieu, Uncle."

"Dear Felix
I was very shock to hear of your passing. I had to send a message via face book to dispel this horrible news. Someone then responded and confirmed you were gone. The last time we corresponded you called me "iya london with a touch of  English spice". I thought that was so funny. I was pleased we reconnected after almost 25 years.Uncle sleep tight. Rest in the Lord.He loves you best."

"A tribute to my dear cousin and a partner in crime..

Latey, to start with you were just one month older than me and we forged a kind of brother/friend relationship as young as 3 or 4 year olds.
The news of your passing was a rude awakening to me, firstly this is because we're same age and secondly I realized that you're gone forever, only the good memory of you and all the things we did together is what I have left. I have accepted your passing and I will celebrate your life.
May your spirit soar in freedom and May you find the peace you searched for in our Lord Jesus.

Rest in Peace Latey."
