My Mom

August 15, 2016

This is a story of my Mom Florence C. Szymkowski Dickson. My Mom's parents Frank and Bertha Szymkowski came to America from Warsaw, Poland. My guess is that my Babcia and Dziadzi came to America in the early 1900's. My Bacia had my Uncle Ed in 1918, my Uncle Stosh in 1920, and my Mom in 1923. My Dziadzi passed too early. My Babicia married a Joseph Murawski, and she had my Uncle Chalie, my Aunt Jenny and my Aunt Renie. My Mom met my Dad working at the Sugarhouse on Delaware Ave. in Philadelphia, Pa. My Dad was drafted into the Army in 1942 to serve in WW2. My Parents were married on June 12, 1943 in St. Laurentius Church in Philly (Fishtown) Pa. My Dad came home from the war in 1945. I was born June 19, 1947. My Brother Andy was born June 14, 1950. My Mom stayed home and took care of me and my Brother. When my Mom passed she had six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. I love and miss you so much Mom. I know that you and Daddy are happy together in Heaven. Till we meet again, your loving daughter Carole.   XOXOXO
