This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Angel Nichole Lee Pocock-Smith, 5, born on July 24, 2001 and killed on April 16, 2007. We will remember her forever.


Angel was only 5 years old when she was called home. Angel was struck by a rusted flagpole during recess, wind speed topped 50 mph, while playing in the courtyard of her school in Ferndale. Of the 22 children playing in the courtyard our Angel was the only one hurt and ultimately killed.

From this tragedy, hopefully some lessons are learned. First and foremost, to love while you can, no one is promised tomorrow, not even the most deserving. Never in a million years did we think we would ever have to bury our baby, but our family was truly blessed to have 5 beautiful years with someone who was too perfect for this earth.

Angel leaves behind so many who love and care for her, Mom, dad and step dad,  Aunts, uncles, brothers, Cousins and host of friends. Her life and death continue to touch those who knew her and those who did not have the pleasure. Angel continues to be loved and held dear and always will be remembered with a smile and of course love.
