Frances Maria Jones was born October 10, 1963 in Ithaca, New York to Audrey Moss Jones and Magellan Jones II. She was educated at St. Casimir School of Elmira, New York; Riley Junior High of San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from James Madison High school, class of 1982. Being a true scholar, Frances continued her education briefly at Southwest Texas State University and received an Associate’s degree in Accounting Technology in 1997 from San Antonio College. In 2003, she also received a Bachelor’s of General Studies in Society and Law from the University of Connecticut.

Frances was a hard worker. Her job resume included, Accounting Clerk I at Animal Control for the City of San Antonio, Postal Carrier for the United States Post Office, Customer Service Account Coordinator for Konica Business Technologies in Hartford, Connecticut, Paralegal for San Antonio Legal Aid and most recently as Leasing Specialist at Lincoln Harris in San Antonio, Texas. Frances also tutored mathematics to anyone she could because to her, educational success mattered.

In 1986, she gave birth to a son, Shawn Christopher Tracey Jones. He was her pride and joy and she would tell everyone who would listen that Jesus and Shawn were the light of her life.
