My Dad and I had a different relationship as I was growing up. I didn't always agree on how he chose to live his life. It wasn't until I got older and became a parent myself, and learned a lot about the ways of the world and why people sometime do what they do that I allowed myself to have a relationship with him. He wasn't perfect, but then, no one is, and I am so glad that later in life we were able to reconnect. He was an awesome Grandfather, and and even better man. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. Life teaches you sometimes too soon, that you should enjoy and appreciate the ones you love, because all too soon they won't be here anymore. The loss of my father has changed me forever. I miss him every day and am so very proud to be his daughter. I love you Dad.... Until we meet again.
