His Life
December 28, 2015

Dad was born Francis Angelo Cuculino on December 20, 1933.  He was the son of Antonio Cuculino and Anna Selito Cuculino.  He was the 6th of seven sons and one daughter.  Dad only went to the 6th grade in school and went to work for his Dad in the concrete business when he was 12 years old.  He continued to work for his Dad until he started doing carpentry.  He met Mom Julia Gigliotti Cuculino when he was 16 years old and she was dating his younger brother Augustine.  Julia started writing to Frank when he was in the army and love blossomed from there.  They were married on August 4th 1956.  Dad was a family man who always put the family first.  In 1958 on March 20th,  I was born Diana Lynn Cuculino.  I was the only child they had and was very spoiled by both my parents.  I was A Daddy's girls from beginning to end.  Dad loved to gamble at the casinos and also loved the racetrack.  He took me many times to see the horses.  Dad was a very simple man with a simple lifestyle as long as he had a roof over his head and a meal on the table he was happy.  He was the most giving person, If someone needed something he tried his best to help any way he could.  When I had my children they were all Dad cared about.  He would drive my mom crazy if he knew their birthdays or Christmas was coming making sure they were taken care of.  He also did everything to help my husband with renovating our home.  They didn't always see eye to eye on how to do things, but Dad was always there to help.  Everywhere I look in my home I see my Dad's handywork.  When my children got married Dad couldn't have been prouder.  His grandchildren were his life and then his great grandchildren became just as important.  I feel a little sad that Frankie's children will never get to know their great Grandfather as he was very special.  I'm sure though that when Frank & Dana do have their children Julia, Lydia, and Lucas will be able to tell their children all about him.  Frank also will have plenty of stories of Grandpop to tell his children.  Dad was a strong man and fought a long fight.  As far as I am concerned he was taken from us way to soon but God knew how strong he was and needed him for other things.  He will be greatly missed by many.  He will be loved forever by all of us.
