Frank's Life Summary

September 17, 2013

  Francis (Frank) Ralph Marotta passed away peacefully on September 15, 2013 in Pflugerville, TX.  He was born on October 20, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ to Francis Marotta and Lillian Valenzano.

  Frank Marotta was a loving father and a hard worker. At the age of 16 he started driving tractor-trailer trucks in the New York / New Jersey area before entering the United States Marine Corps. Frank moved his family to New Buffalo, MI in 1965, where he worked predominately in the construction industry. There he not only worked constructing Interstate 94, but also the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant located in Bridgman, MI.  He also served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and on the City Council for the city of New Buffalo.

  Frank Marotta started two businesses while in New Buffalo. First, the Marotta Beauty Salon, and then a landscaping and snow removal business known as Combination Enterprises.  He then moved to Indio, CA and started another business, Transcription Company, which provided medical transcribing for area doctors.

  Frank was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Millicent.  He is survived by his 4 children:  Susan Odom and family of Marcellus, MI; Pamela Ruddock of Klamath Falls, OR; Steve Marotta and family in Maple Valley, WA; and Frank Marotta Jr. and family of Pflugerville, TX; nephew Michael and Elise Cole; his brother Bill Marotta of San Francisco, CA and numerous grandchildren.

 Funeral Services will be privately held in the Palm Springs, CA area.
