I have been in shock since I learned of Fred's passing. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him. My condolences to his family.
SLOWIK FRED, Age 72 of Clinton Township died on July 22, 2015. He was born on May 30, 1943 in Detroit to the late Charles and Helen (Pakizer) Slowik. Fred is survived by his children David (Jennifer) Slowik of Traverse City, Jane Slowik of Boyne City; his granddaughters Alexis and Emilea; his brothers Larry (Aline) Slowik of Rochester, Jimmy Slowik of Oak Park and Raymond (Elaine) Slowik of Zephyrhills, FL. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Slowik and sister Florence Slowik. The family is planning a private memorial service to honor Fred. Uncle Fred loved his birds. I remember during Holidays he would bring his birds out and let us touch them and showed us their tricks. This was pretty trusting since we were 5-7 yo. He was always loving to his younger nieces and nephews. He was unique and I will always remember him for his kindness, his effusive nature and just being a good human being.
