His Life

Fuller E. Heard of Columbus passed away peacefully Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Summer's Landing at 
Bayberry Trace in Jonesboro, GA. He was 83 years of age.

The son of the late Jackson and Georgia Hubbard Heard, Mr. Heard was born in LaGrange, GA. He obtained a Bachelors degree from Ft. Valley State College, his Masters degree from Auburn University, and his Specialist degree from Georgia State University. He was retired from the Muscogee County Schools System following 36 years of dedicated service. His final tenure was Principal of J. D. Davis Elementary School. He was a former member of M. L. Harris United Methodist Church, and was currently a member of Living Grace United Methodist Church where he served with the Long Range Planning Team, United Methodist Men and the Church Administration Council. He was also a member of the Georgia, Muscogee and Retired Educators Associations, the Ft. Valley Alumni Association, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie M. Veal Heard, and six siblings.

Survivors include: his daughter, Sylvia Mack (David); two grandchildren, Ebony Kennedy and David A. Mack; three great granddaughters, Zoe, London and Aylah; a sister, Georgie M. Bailey; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
