Gail Marie Grogan died after a long illness at her home in Pine Hill, NJ, with her longtime companion, Jim Riggs and her beloved dogs, Becky, Larry, Patty, Stuart, Wendy, Luther, Maggie and Alex, her furry children, loyally at her side until her last moments on earth.

She was a dog groomer for over 30 years at her business, K-9 Kingdom, Woodbury, NJ.

Gail had many interests, among them were fashion, shopping, reading, gardening and jewelry making. She always loved visiting and walking at nature gardens.

She is survived by her sisters, Diane Carolyn Gillespie of Riverdale, MD and Donna Spohrer of Naples, FL.

Services are private. Donations in memory of Gail may be sent to the SPCA of Camden County, NJ, or any other agency which helps animals.

Dear Sister, I miss you everyday. It is hard not having you to talk to.
I miss our talks about books. The last book you read that we talked about was, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. Our love of books was started by our mother who always took us to libraries. She instilled the love of reading in us. We also always read newspapers and discuss articles together.
Beading was another pleasure we shared. Making our own jewelry gave us much pleasure. We took classes together to learn new woven bead designs.
Sometimes we learned a new pattern from the many beading magazines that we perused.
Sister, you were such a fashionista. I will miss our shopping adventures and your style.
We loved gardens and flowers. Often we would visit Bartrum Garden in Philadelphia or Longwood Garden. I wish that I could talk to you about all the beautiful blooms happening this Spring. Today the wisteria is particularly beautiful.
I will miss your cooking. You always made such delicious meals and decorated the table so beautifully. Everything always looked so pretty. I loved when you used to write the menu on your chalkboard like at a restaurant.
And finally I will miss all the fun we had with the dogs when we took their photographs. It was always Gail's zoo.
Thank you sister for always being generous to my children, Michael Sean, Matt and Alyson Rose: Love, Diane

The love of Hummingbirds

September 2, 2019
Gail and I spent many hours observing, helping and sharing watching Nature. On her birthday, a hummingbird visited my garden and it comforted me to see it. I only wish that I could have called Gail and told her. Gail always had hummingbird feeders out and we would talk to each other about seeing these irredencent little creatures. Miss you sister.
