Growing up around the Carlisle home was a huge blessing for me. I was over visiting one day in high school when a woman called Gen. As she was listening to her Mrs. Carlisle (as she was to me then) kindly said to the woman I think you called me because you have a need. How can I help you? She soon said I will be glad to give you some money. This woman had been a house keeper and Gen never skipped a beat in listening and helping. I stored that in my heart. Her examples spoke louder than words.. But I did love it when she told me I was nice. I think I needed to hear that. May our Lord say to her well done my faithful servant.

Shortly after my grandfather passed away... My mom and dad invited grandma to dinner at their house. She ( being an avid walker ) of course walked the few blocks up to their house. After dinner and a few glasses of wine we offered to give her a ride home...  She promptly replied "I will be fine! Gravity will take me home!"  

 So last year when I was driving grandma home from my mom and dads house at dinner... she was concerned if I was able to see on the dark streets to drive home…   And I said  " We will be fine ...gravity will take us home !" And she said " Well that sounds terrifying !!!!" 

Hahahaha ! I love that woman!
