George Edward Driver III, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday October 26, 2017 due to complications from diabetes and cancer. He was born July 25, 1948 to George Jr and Ruth (Hammel) Driver at home in Ferrell, New Jersey.  He was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Preite). George worked at DuPont Chambers Works as a chemist and is most known for his junkyard in Carney’s Point NJ.  He travelled the world with Nancy but his favorite places were Disney World and the Wildwood beaches!  He would ride all the way to the shore on his motorcycle just for a slice of Mack’s pizza!  He raced at Bridgeport Speedway during his younger years and loved to watch Nascar races. His larger than life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.  He was quick to share a story or a joke and made friends wherever he went.  He was generous to a fault.

He is survived by his 3 children, Martin Driver (Melainie), George E Driver IV (Stephen) and Stephanie Driver (Michael); 6 grandchildren Amanda, Nicole, Chelsea, Bailey, Taylor and Christian; 2 sisters Marlyn Wright (Bill) and Joann Bundens (Bob); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 1PM with a luncheon immediately to follow at the Ewan United Methodist Church, 325 Ewan Rd, Ewan NJ.

I miss you Pop. You were loved by many, but none as much as your children and grandchildren. Rest in Peace.
