Mr. Painter was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on March 19, 1937, the son of the late Mamie Shuler Painter and Harley Painter. He was a faithful member of the Unity Baptist Church, and was a hard worker who enjoyed providing for his family. Until his retirement he was a Machine Operator for Kason Industries in Newnan, Georgia. In his spare time he love fishing and had a special love of hunting. His family adored him, and he them. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Wilma Montealegre Painter of Franklin, GA.; son, Chris Painter of Pine Mountain, GA.; son-in-law, Gilbert Bishop (Alice); two sisters Linda Stokes (Ricky) of KY., and Eva Allen (Junior) of Calhoun, GA.; three brothers, Ray Painter(Cindy), Charles Painter (Charlene) all of Dalton, GA., and James Painter (Claudette) pf Chatsworth, GA.; and three grandchildren.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dale Smith Painter; and daughter Gidget Bishop.
