BIOGRAPHY of Late GEORGE TABETANDO (BLACK G.).

He was born at the Kumba General hospital on July 2nd 1982, to the family of Stephen and Hannah Tabetando originally from Bachuo Ntai village, Mamfe Central, in Manyu Division. Late George Tabetando attended Eyumojock Government Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter, he attended Government Bilingual College Mamfe Town . He later traveled to the United States in 2001 and lived with his parents and other siblings in Atlanta , Georgia . While living with the parents in Georgia , late George attended and graduated from Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville Highway .

In 2004, as a young man trying to pursue his American Dream, he registered and attended Lanier Technical College in Gainesville , GA , where he enrolled into Industrial Management. He leaves behind four (4) little kids where the wife was expecting their fourth kid this December and just gave birth less than two weeks after he passed away. He owned and operated a Tire Shop business which he later sold and bought a Wrecker Truck which he used to provide Wrecker Services.  

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT/PARTICIPATION.

As a young man full of a lot of pump, energy and love for his community, George Tabetando was not only known by the Manyu community in the United States, he was also known by his Cameroon brothers and sisters in the U.S. particularly in Georgia where he resided. He was an "Active" member of MECA-GA where he actively participated in all meeting activities and was scheduled to host the meeting in January of 2012.   George Tabetando was not only involved with MECA- GA as an Organization from his ancestral origin Manyu, but also became a registered and active member of ATLANTA VETERANS CLUB, an Organization meant for Cameroonians from 35 years of age and above living in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. George, aged 27, was below the age required for admittance, but being a lover of the community, he decided to join the Club and remained active until his death. In addition to the above, the late George Tabetando was an active member of his beloved ATLANTA DYNAMOS FOOTBALL & SOCIAL CLUB, supporting all its activities in Georgia and in the United States and had won several MVP trophies.

HIS SUPPORT FOR CAMEROONIAN MUSICIANS.  

"BLACK GEORGE", as he was known by his peers and other Cameroonians, was a lover of music where he supported and showed his unwavering commitment towards visiting Cameroonian musicians such as Prof. Arrey Bate Nico ( professor of Manyu Forklore), Petit Pays, Penda Dalle etc and those residing in the United States such as Emile Kangue, Ebeny Armstrong, Awasom Goddy Shake etc.
His soft spoken and respectful nature coupled with his love for community building and evolution, earned him the love and respect from the various groups he was involved with till his death.

On November 26th 2011, George Tabetando passed away, a victim of gun shots. His remains will be transported to his native Bachuo village Ntai for burial.
