SFC Ret. George Wayne Womack of Columbus, passed away Wednesday at his home. He was 65 years old and resided at 1310 Kings Mountain Road. 

 
SFC Womack will be laid to rest with full military honors at the National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL., on Friday, January 22, 2016 following a Eleven O'Clock A.M. Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of New Testament Christian Center Church officiated by Pastor, Bishop James A. Lewis.

Visitation is 4:00 til 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

The cortege will depart from the residence Friday at 10:30 A.M.

Sorry to hear of your love one home going.I use to live at 1302 kingsmountain rd.I use to be his neighbor and friend.I could not have had a better neighbor.a tree fell on my house from his yard,he came and rang my door bell and inform me what happen,he said I am going to call my insurance company and get this taken care of asap.He said go ahead and notify your insurance company,and let them no I am taking care it. Today we are silent, to pay Tribute to George Wayne Womack A member of the May 30, 1968 Class Of Lomax – Hannon High School, Greenville , Alabama. We was A very close class with eights boys and four girls. He will be joining three of the boys David Knight, Miami, FL, Roy Lee, Greenville, AL and John Durant, Pensacola, FL

We the four boys and four girls want so much to help you and to be there for you now, to comfort you thought all of this if only we knew how. Our Hands and Hearts reach out to say you’ll never be alone. For we know that GOD has you all Wrapped in his Care.

We earnestly believe that if George Wayne could speak to us today he would say: “ I am Home in HEAVEN dear classmates oh so Happy and so Bright; there is perfect Joy and Beauty in the Everlasting Light. All the daily Pain, Grief and Restless are over. “I am  in “PEACE FOREVER”, Safety home at last. When all your work is completed, he will gently call you home, Oh the rapture of that meeting, oh the Joy to see you come. We ask GOD Almighty to Accept our classmate George Wayne in his CARE.
